New Bentley Continental GT2 planned
Bentley has revealed to Auto Express that now its got the regular versions of the Continental out of the way – the 2011 Continental GT and the 2012 Continental GTC – they’re going to head down the halo route for the new Conti and produce the Bentley Continental GT2. The GT2 seems destined to occupy the space the Continental Supersports did in the previous generation Continental. It is said to be getting a bit if weight relief going on – around 200kg – and will come equipped with up to 650-bhp – that’s 30bhp more than the current Supersports.
The 22-year run of the sporty Mitsubishi Eclipse is over. To commemorate the occasion and honor the nameplate, the company is auctioning off the last car built, a 3.8-liter V6 SE coupe. The only coupe ever built in SE trim will cross the block during the annual St.

It’s only just over a week since Aston Martin was sold, but today it confirmed plans to race at Le Mans. The DBR9 will return to the famous La Sarthe circuit in June. Perhaps this was inevitable, since Aston’s new non-executive chairman is David Richards - the chairman of Prodrive, which develops the DBR9 and its FIA GT3-spec sister car, the DBRS9.
